Rita Dominic (the full name is Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Waturuocha) is a Nigerian actress. She is a winner in the category of Best Actress in a Leading Role (African Movie Academy Award, 2012).
Early life
Rita Dominic belongs to the Royal Waturuocha family of Aboh Mbaise region. As the youngest child, she grew up in the family of health workers. Her mother worked as a nurse, and her father was a doctor.
Rita studied at the elite Federal Government College in Nigeria prior to entering the University of Port Harcourt. In 1999, she finished her education with a BA degree in Theatre Arts.
Career
From childhood, Rita Dominic knew what she wanted to dedicate life to. Before becoming a famous actress, Rita played in the performances at school. Also, Dominic gained experience during children's television shows in Imo state.
In 1998, Rita made her debut in the film “A Time to Kill”. Dominic is considered to be the most outstanding actress (the City People Awards, 2004). Rita tried her hand in more than 100 Nollywood films.
Rita Dominic got married to the love of her life, Fidelis Anosike, in a beautiful wedding ceremony that took place on Saturday, December 26, 2022.
