Manchester United’s frustrating start to the season continued on Sunday as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The result not only extended their winless run but also saw the club set an unwanted Premier League record, piling further pressure on Ruben Amorim’s side.

Fernandes misses from the spot
The Red Devils, who were tipped to win the Premier League by Davido, began the game with urgency, creating early chances through Matheus Cunha, who first struck the post before being denied by Bernd Leno.
Their momentum was rewarded when Mason Mount won a penalty after being fouled by Calvin Bassey.
However, captain Bruno Fernandes failed to score, blasting his effort over the bar in a moment that left United fans groaning in disbelief.
According to GOAL, that miss would prove costly as Fulham grew into the game and made the Red Devils work hard for every opportunity. Despite enjoying possession, Man United’s attacking play once again lacked sharpness and composure.
Man United set unwanted records
Man United eventually took the lead when Leny Yoro’s header, following a shove on Bassey, deflected off Rodrigo Muniz into his own net. But even with the advantage, Amorim’s men failed to kill the game.

Fulham substitute Emile Smith Rowe equalised with his very first touch, leaving the visitors once again ruing their missed chances.
The result meant Manchester United have now dropped points in both of their opening Premier League fixtures.
Since April, they have collected just six points in the league, fewer than any other ever-present Premier League side, per Opta.
Remarkably, even Leicester City, now playing in the Championship, has amassed more points in that period.
Adding to the gloom, another statistic showed that since the start of last season, only Genoa have failed to score a first-half goal in more games than United (29) across Europe’s top five leagues.
These numbers underline the depth of Manchester United’s struggles since Ruben Amorim took over the club mid-last season.
Pressure mounts on Amorim
For Ruben Amorim, the Fulham draw is another early setback that threatens to derail Man United’s campaign before it gains momentum.
The Portuguese manager admitted frustration at the Red Devils' inability to finish their chances, but he stressed the importance of staying patient as the team adapts to new ideas.
With rivals already pulling ahead in the league table, Man United cannot afford many more slip-ups if they hope to mount a top-four challenge this season.
Man United’s major problems revealed
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that former England international Gary Neville has identified a problem in Manchester United's current squad after their first league defeat against Arsenal.
Neville advised coach Ruben Amorim to fix the goalkeeping department before the close of the summer transfer window.
