Italian press explains why AC Milan should not sign Super Eagles star Victor Boniface

According to Football Italian, the 24-year-old is ready to begin his medicals at Linate after the Rossoneri agreed with Bayer Leverkusen for a loan for €5m, with an option to buy at a later date for an additional €24m.

Boniface will face an intensive check-up on his knee due to the cruciate ligament ruptures he suffered in the past.

Should the former Royale Union SG player pass his medicals, he will become Milan's eighth signing during the summer transfer window.

An Italian paper earlier raised concerns about the injury status of the Super Eagles player, urging AC Milan not to sign him.

"Victor Boniface has been struggling with injury over the years. During his playing days at his first professional club (Bodo/Glimt), he suffered two serious ligament injuries in March 2019 and November 2020.
"His injury worries continued at Bayern Leverkusen, with the worst hit around January 2024, which forced him out of action for three months. Another one happened in November 2024, where he missed 12 matches," according to Gazetta dello Sports.
