Victor Osimhen phoned Galatasaray target
The club are targeting Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji as a priority centre-back signing as they want to compete on all fronts this season.
They have contacted the English club, but details have yet to emerge on whether the Citizens would be willing to sell the defender they signed for £17 million in 2022.
Another report suggested that Pep Guardiola’s side have named an asking price of £18 million, which could be deemed too high by the Turkish club.
According to Inside Futbol, Victor Osimhen has contacted his compatriot, advising him to make the switch to the Turkish Super League.
The Swiss defender of Nigerian heritage is keen on the move in search of playing time in a bid to make Switzerland's squad for next year, and this could convince him to make the move.
Galatasaray interested in Ederson
Akanji is not the only Manchester City star Galatasaray have expressed interest in signing, they have also sounded out goalkeeper Ederson.

The Brazilian is open to moving to Turkey as he had previously attempted to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr last season, but eventually stayed.
Galatasaray's offer to Manchester City is way below their valuation of the goalkeeper, but negotiations continue, and the deal is expected to be completed.
According to London Evening Standard, the Lions will turn their attention to Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has been told he can leave Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the Italian costs more than the Brazilian and is Manchester City’s target to replace their long-serving goalkeeper if he leaves the Etihad Stadium.
The former AC Milan goalkeeper’s agent confirmed they his client would prefer a move to England, thus ruling Galatasaray out of the race, but City face competition from Manchester United.
