UEFA Super Cup: PSG's prize money after beating Tottenham on penalties

11 of the last 12 Super Cup finals have been won by Champions League winners, with Real Madrid the only side to buck the trend after losing to Atletico Madrid in 2018.

Tottenham also had the North London curse hanging over them. Six of the previous seven English teams have won on their first attempt, with only Arsenal losing their first game.

The two sides have not met in a competitive match, but their last season's form could have a say. PSG have won 34 games in 2025, more than any other European side, while Tottenham have lost 16 matches, more than any other English side.

It is envisioned as a four-team mini-tournament, but which teams will participate and how they will be organised has not been determined, although it was posited that it could be hosted in the USA or the Middle East.
