With one minute to go in the first half, the Ikorodu City defender committed another blunder by handling the ball inside the box, gifting Sudan a penalty which Walieldin Khidir calmly converted to make it 2-0, according to Punch.

Sudan capitalised on the defensive errors of the Super Eagles, with Abdel Raouf scoring twice in quick succession: a close-range finish in the 55th minute and a brilliant volley off the crossbar six minutes later, sealing the 4-0 win, per CAF.

Super Eagles B have conceded five goals in two matches (Senegal and Sudan), with their final clash against Congo on August 19.

Why Sudan beat Nigeria - Adigun

Nigeria sports journalist Olawale Adigun said the Sudanese players are far more experienced than the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) players.

In a post on X, the podcaster said the NPFL lacks structure and organisation which is the bedrock for players to excel.

He added that the clubs where majority of the players ply their trades have been in the Mauritanian League in the last two years. He said:

"If we're being serious here, majority of the Sudanese players at CHAN come from Al Merriekh and Al Hilal.
"NONE of our clubs can lay a finger on them in terms of structure and organisation.
"FunFact: These 2 clubs have been forced to play in the Mauritanian League in the last 2 years."

Fans react to Adigun's comments

Football fans have agreed with Olawale Adigun on the current structure of the NPFL.

"The truth remains our league is still behind."

@NaijaBallBoy wrote:

"Exactly what I've been saying. It's a domestic competition, where players playing for Africa's clubs assemble to play for their nation.
"If the clubs are any indication, then the scoreline is accurate. It's painful, true; but we already knew that."
