Chelsea have informed local police of a possible theft in their training facilities at Cobham after an expensive high-tech camera equipment went missing.

The club's complex at Cobham has seen limited activities in recent weeks, with members of the men's and women's teams and staff on post-season holiday.

Chelsea calls police after possible theft at Cobham

According to Sun Sport, Chelsea have contacted Surrey police after a video camera worth £30,000 disappeared from their training ground at Cobham.

The club called police over the suspicious event, though it is believed it was mislaid item and could be found when all staff have resumed from holiday.

The post received a rather funny reaction from the fans, who were surprised that such happened at a highly protected facility.

The incident is one of the many thefts and burglaries involving Chelsea and its players since 2021, with four players targeted so far.

Captain Reece James' house was burgled, and his UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Euro 2020 runners-up medals were stolen and have yet to be found.

According to TNT Sports, Raheem Sterling’s house was burgled a few months into his Chelsea career while he was away at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The burglars made away with valuables worth about £300,000, forcing the winger to return home to England to comfort his family before returning to Qatar.

An Albanian national, Emiliano Krosi, was jailed for 11 years for his part in the incident and 32 other burglaries across the South East.

Chelsea ban 4 players from training ground

Legit.ng previously reported that Chelsea banned four players from the first-team facilities at Cobham as they are expected to leave the club this summer.
