Westerhof, who coached the Super Eagles from 1989 to 1994, transformed the team into a continental powerhouse.
He was in charge when Nigeria clinched its second Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title in 1994, defeating Zambia 2-1.
The incredible manager led Nigeria to their first FIFA World Cup appearance in 1994, where the Super Eagles topped a group featuring Argentina, Bulgaria, and Greece before falling to Italy in the Round of 16, per FIFA.
