Osimhen discloses his daughter’s role in joining Galatasaray

Galatasaray presented their new signings Victor Osimhen and Leroy Sane to the fans ahead of their pre-season match against SS Lazio at Rams Park on Saturday, August 2, 2025, which ended 2-2.

The Nigerian forward spoke to TV 100 afterwards, explaining what went on behind the scenes before he decided to join the club permanently.

He named his daughter, Hailey, as a key factor in his decision-making, as she had fallen in love with the club and wanted him to continue.

“I never had any hesitation when coming to Galatasaray! Not even for a moment. The most important reason I feel like a Galatasaray fan is the supporters and my daughter,” he said.
“My daughter loves the Cimbombom songs so much. She sings them, she leads the triple chant. Her support has been a great help. My daughter is my everything, my life. I always tell people that. She is a brilliant child.

Legit.ng previously reported that Osimhen’s daughter announced his goal at the stadium after the striker scored in Galatasaray's 3-0 win over Kayserispor on May 18.

The striker confirmed he was unaware because of the heat of the match, and was later informed by a member of the media team when he went in at halftime.
