Oshoala reacts to national honour

Legendary Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has reacted to receiving her second national honour after her fourth WAFCON 2025 title.

As noted by Cable NG, she received the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) after winning the Golden Boot and Golden Ball at the 2014 FIFA Women's U20 World Cup.

President Goodluck Jonathan recognised her exploits and awarded her the honour, for which she thanked her parents and teammates for helping her.

The Bay FC striker, after receiving the recent award, shared a video on her social media pages, during which she joked she would block anyone calling her MON.

Oshoala’s achievements in Africa and global football stand distinct, which makes her arguably the greatest African women's footballer of all time, perhaps the overall best African.
