How Dr Ismaila described Madugu's impact
Adamawa monarch Dr. Daniel Shaga Ismaila said Super Falcons coach Justine Madugu defied all odds to win Nigeria's 10th title.
In a statement obtained by Legit.ng, the Paramount Ruler of the Bachama Kingdom praised Madugu’s resilience in the face of criticism before and during the tournament, describing it as a stepping stone to his success.
Dr Ismaila announced that the Bachama Kingdom would send a cultural delegation to support the Super Falcons at future friendly or competitive matches as a show of solidarity and pride. He said:
“Justin Pwanidi Madugu is from Numan. He has been a high flier, and when the FA assigned him to lead the Super Falcons, we were excited and very hopeful because he’s a young man that takes every assignment very seriously. I am proud of him.
“These criticisms are the ladders and stepping boards on which he must ride to success.
"Every Nigerian is a critic, sadly not constructive criticism because they offer no suggestions on the way forward. Give them the opportunity they perform worse.
"So, I believe Justine understands this for he has encountered it before. Our prayer for him is that he withstands the critics and ride on to the summit of his chosen career. That is our joy."
