The Nigerian ladies trailed by five points at the end of the first quarter before mounting an astonishing comeback to take home the ultimate prize.

The win solidified D'Tigress's status as the most dominant team in modern African women’s basketball.

According to Africa Basket, the last time Nigeria tasted defeat in this competition was a third-place match-up in 2015. Since that October night in Yaoundé, the team has stacked 29 consecutive wins, the longest streak in tournament history.
