Tinubu Reacts as APC National Chairman's Mother Dies

Jos, Plateau state - President Bola Tinubu on Monday, August 18, expressed his "heartfelt condolences" to Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tinubu sent his sympathy to Prof. Yilwatda on the death of the APC leader's mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.

APC chairman Yilwatda loses mother
Legit.ng had reported that Mama Yilwatda died on Sunday, August 17, at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital at the age of 83.
According to a statement by Bayo Onanuga, a presidential spokesperson, Tinubu describes her as a woman of virtue who lived a life dedicated to faith, service, and the uplifting of her community. Onanuga's statement was obtained by Legit.ng.
The president enjoined the APC chairman to accept her death as the will of Almighty God and be consoled by the life of purpose his mother lived.
President Tinubu prayed for the repose of the soul of Mama Yilwatda and beseeched God to grant Prof. Yilwatda, the entire family and all those Mama left behind the strength to bear the loss.

Emir of Zuru dies in London
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Alhaji Muhammad Sani Sami Goma II, the Emir of Zuru, died.
The monarch died at a London hospital in the United Kingdom (UK) after a brief illness.
The Kebbi government extended condolences to the late monarch's immediate family, the Zuru emirate, and the entire people of the state and prays to God to give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
