He said Nigeria has retrogressed under Tinubu’s administration, who he said he has failed in all ramifications.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain warned that the country is sliding dangerously into deeper crises under Tinubu’s leadership.
As reported by Daily Trust, Waziri stated this an interview with Trust Television.
The former minister expressed grave concerns over the state of governance in Nigeria.
“If the Buhari government was a failure, the Tinubu government in the last two years is a disastrous catastrophe.
“It has failed in all ramifications, and the country has regressed.”
He cited growing insecurity, worsening economic hardship, and increased corruption as hallmarks of the current administration’s failure.
“The economy is collapsing, ethnocentrism is at an all-time high, and insecurity continues to ravage many states.”
Waziri said Nigeria under Tinubu’s leadership has lost its sense of national direction and has become more fragile and polarized.
The ADC chieftain called for a sober assessment of Tinubu's administration’s performance.
According to Waziri, those endorsing Tinubu's government often come from areas directly affected by banditry and violence.
“I am surprised that people whose local governments are under the control of bandits can appear on national television to endorse this government.”
Waziri was appointed Nigerian minister of Police Affairs on 6 April 2010, when Acting President Goodluck Jonathan announced his new cabinet.
