Chivido2025: Osun Governor Adeleke Jets Out to US for Davido, Chioma’s White Wedding

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state, has travelled to the United States to attend the wedding ceremony of his nephew and music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.

Recall that the duo had their traditional wedding in June 2025 and are now set to tie the knot the white way this weekend.
Legit.ng reported that Davido confirmed that he and his wife, Chioma Avril Rowland, will have their white wedding in Miami, Florida, in August 2025. This was after their traditional wedding held in June 2025, in Lagos state.
He made the announcement during an interview on The Breakfast Club, aired on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

Davido's wedding: Adeleke jets out in private jet
But in a statement issued on Tuesday, August 5, the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, confirmed Adeleke’s trip, while addressing concerns raised by the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) over the governor’s whereabouts.
“Governor Adeleke left Nigeria for the United States via the family’s private jet a few days ago for the wedding of the global music icon, his beloved nephew, David Adeleke.
“His Excellency is extending an invitation to the opposition party to attend the event and share in the joy of the occasion with the Adeleke family.
“Those unable to attend may join virtually,” Rasheed stated.
Speaking further, he noted that Adeleke had not taken any official vacation since assuming office in November 2022 and said the current trip would be short.
“Meanwhile, the Governor is in constant communication with his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, who is supervising activities of the government,” Rasheed added.
Davido’s sis, Chioma update fans about their party
Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian singer Davido’s sister, Sharon and his wife, Chioma, have started planning ahead of the Chivido white wedding.
The celebrity couple are getting set to have their white wedding ceremony in August, and some of the party plans have been shared with fans.
Canada-based doctor confirms invitation to Chivido2025
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that a Canada-based doctor, ZO, shared a post where he announced that he received an invitation to Davido's white wedding.
This came after Tunde Ednut announced the official date for Davido and Chioma's white wedding ceremony in Atlanta.
The doctor's comment about Chioma and Isreal DMW ignited interesting comments on social media.
Davido, Chiefpriest visit Senator Akpabio
In other news, Legit.ng reported that Davido and his friend, Cubana Chiefpriest, were recently in the company of Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Cubana Chiefpriest, who is known to occasionally move in political circles, took to his official Instagram page to share a video of their meeting with Senator Akpabio.
