Katsina Emirate Appoints Hadi Sirika, Radda’s Son as District Heads
- The Katsina Emirate Council has appointed six new District Heads, including the sons of former Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika and Governor Dikko Radda
- The appointments span key local government areas such as Dutsi, Charanchi, Kaita, Mani, and Danja

The Katsina Emirate Council has officially appointed six new District Heads, including former Aviation Minister Senator Hadi Sirika and Umar Radda, son of Governor Dikko Radda.
The announcement was made in a statement released on Saturday by Alhaji Bello Ifo, Secretary to the Emirate Council.

Hadi Sirika named Marusan Katsina
According to the statement, Senator Hadi Sirika has been named the new Marusan Katsina, District Head of Shargalle in Dutsi Local Government Area.
Sirika, a prominent political figure and former federal minister, now assumes a traditional leadership role within the emirate.
Umar Radda, son of the sitting Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Radda, was appointed Gwagwaren Katsina, District Head of Radda in Charanchi Local Government Area.
His inclusion among the newly appointed leaders marks a significant generational shift in the emirate’s traditional hierarchy.
4 additional district heads announced
The statement also confirmed the appointment of four other individuals to key district positions across the state:
• Alhaji Sanusi Kabir-Usman was named Karshin Katsina, District Head of Shinkafi in Kaita Local Government.
• Alhaji Ahmad Abdulmumini-Kabir was appointed Dan-majen Katsina, District Head of Dankama, also in Kaita Local Government.
• Alhaji Abubakar Dardisu was designated Sarkin Mudurun Katsina, District Head of Muduru in Mani Local Government.
• Alhaji Gambo Abdullahi was confirmed as Dausayin Katsina, District Head of Dabai in Danja Local Government.
The Emirate Council stated that all appointments took effect from Saturday, August 2, 2025.
The newly appointed District Heads are expected to assume their responsibilities immediately, reinforcing traditional governance structures across their respective local government areas.
Governor appoints new Emir of Gusau Emirate
Legit.ng earlier reported Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has appointed Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello as the new Emir and Sarkin Katsina of Gusau Emirate in Zamfara state.
The Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, said Bello’s appointment is based on the traditional recommendation of the Gusau Emirate kingmakers.
As reported by Channels Television, Nakwada said the appointment was in accordance with established customs and relevant laws.
