Obidient Movement speaks on PDP alliance

Vanguard reported that Yunusa confirmed the overture with the PDP, stating that the discussion was no longer a secret because "the PDP has made and is still making overtures." He said the leading opposition is beckoning to the presidential hopeful. He noted that several PDP leaders have publicly commented on it.

He explained that, as Obi himself noted, the Labour Party chieftain is open to discussion that will rescue the country from its current socio-economic challenges. He said the discussion was not about Peter Obi in person but about Nigeria and Nigerians.

Yunusa also responded to the question on the deal made with the PDP and whether a decision has been taken so far, insisting that discussions are still ongoing and assured that a collective decision would be taken in the interest of Nigeria. He added that an individual cannot shoulder the tasks alone.

Atiku started by calling on the opposition leaders to come together under one umbrella to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election. He had been joined by Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Rotimi Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers.
