Kaduna, Kaduna state - Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state has declared that no Nigerian president has supported state governors the way President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has.
He made this remark during a two-day interactive forum in Kaduna, where he also noted that such support makes it nearly impossible for governors to oppose the president.

Speaking on Tuesday, July 29, at the forum organised by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF), Governor Sani stated,
“No president in Nigeria’s history has supported governors and sub-national governments the way President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently doing. As a result, it is unlikely that any governor in Nigeria would go against the president.”
Governors across party lines endorse Tinubu
The comment comes at a time when many governors, including those from opposition parties, are expressing open support for Tinubu’s leadership, Vanguard reported.
The event, held at Arewa House, was themed “Assessing Electoral Promises: Fostering Government-Citizen Engagement for National Unity.”
It drew participants from government, civil society, and the policy community.
President Tinubu was represented at the forum by the Kwara state Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, The Cable reported

FG partners non-state actors in the North
Sani also highlighted a new strategy being adopted by the Tinubu-led administration, where non-state actors are actively involved in governance and security efforts in Northern Nigeria, Vanguard reported.
“This is the first time in our political history that the federal government is directly engaging non-state actors in the North to tackle long-standing security and development issues,” he said.
He described the move as a bold step towards inclusive governance and sustainable peace.
The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, founded in 2009, is a non-partisan and non-religious organisation dedicated to preserving the legacy of the late Premier of Northern Nigeria.
Through forums like this, the foundation aims to strengthen leadership, civic engagement, and regional development.
The dialogue served as a platform for strengthening trust between government and citizens, while also holding public leaders accountable for their promises.
Why ADC will take over power from Tinubu
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that former vice-president Atiku Abubakar assured that the newly adopted coalition party, the African Democratic Congress, will challenge Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
Atiku stated this recently and maintained that Nigeria "can never be a one-party state," hence the need for the ADC to unseat Tinubu and the ruling APC in 2027.
The former VP and presidential hopeful explained how the ADC has dominated Nigeria's political landscape within three weeks of its adoption by the coalition.
