Ekiti, Ekiti state - As Nigerians look forward to the 2027 election, Adeniyi Adebayo, Ayodele Fayose, and Segun Oni have all endorsed President Bola Tinubu.
As reported by The Nation on Tuesday, July 29, the three former governors of Ekiti state endorsed the incumbent Nigerian leader during an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado Ekiti.

A motion for President Tinubu’s endorsement was moved by Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and seconded by the federal lawmaker from Ekiti East, Emure and Gboyin constituency, Femi Bamisile.
The motion was adopted by the crowd through thunderous voice votes.
The three former governors said President Tinubu deserves a second term given his purported developmental strides in infrastructure, agriculture, education, economy, healthcare, youth development, and other pivotal areas.

At the event on Monday, July 28, Fayose pulled up a drama when he appeared with the branded cap of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The former governor also claimed that he remained the record-holder of elections in the state, stating that he won all the local governments in Ekiti, and he was also congratulated by his opposition after the result was announced.
With his PDP-branded cap at the rally, the estranged PDP member explained that his loyalty to the party remained unshaken, adding that, irrespective of the endorsement, he would not be leaving his party, and he had no intention to dump the PDP.
Fayose explained that the gathering was important and unique because key former governors in the state, including himself, were present at the event to announce their endorsement of President Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Ekiti governor sends message to Tinubu
Meanwhile, in his reaction after the event, Governor Oyebanji of Ekiti appreciated the people of the state for their purported public endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term in office.

Governor Oyebanji, in a statement by his special adviser on media, Yinka Oyebode, obtained by Legit.ng, thanked Tinubu for 'his love and support for the state', saying that the president’s economic policies have helped to accelerate development in the state.
His statement partly reads:
“Yesterday (Monday, July 28) was not only a remarkable day, it was a watershed in the history of our dear state, and we thank God Almighty for the hugely successful political gathering.

Ekiti: Olujimi endorses Tinubu
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that a former deputy governor of Ekiti state, Senator Biodun Olujimi, publicly endorsed Tinubu’s leadership, praising 'his bold decision-making and unwavering commitment to transformative policies'.
The former federal lawmaker said her recent defection to the APC was motivated by her admiration for President Tinubu’s purported ability to take bold decisions and remain committed to them, even under pressure.
