The presidential hopeful wrote:

"In November 2022, while campaigning in Delta State, the then APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, now the President, berated the other Presidential Candidate (Peter Obi), he was ashamed to call his name, saying "Na statistics we go chop all I want is to put food on the table of Nigerians”.
"Now, two years into his 4-year tenure, Nigeria is classified as one of the hungriest nations in the world, with millions of Nigerians not knowing where their next meal will come from."
"President Tinubu is now overfeeding Nigerians with wrong statistics from wrong unemployment figures, wrong inflation figures, and now GDP rebasing, all to put a positive spin on our deteriorating economic and household conditions."

Meanwhile, public commentator Femi Bolaji has cautioned Obi against returning to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Bolaji posited that Obi has nothing to gain from the PDP, considering its current crisis.

In a chat with Legit.ng, Bolaji said:

"Obi is a great asset for any political party, and any political party that will have him will be to their advantage. But the PDP has been in crisis for so long, and its top faces are already backing the ADC. What could Obi possibly gain from joining the crisis-hit party?
"Obi's 2023 campaign under the LP garnered significant support, and staying with the LP is reasonable, as it could help solidify his support in the core north."
