2027 Election: Wike Fires ADC Coalition in Viral Video

Asokoro, Abuja - Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), has said coalition leaders are only interested in “rescuing their stomachs” and not Nigerians.

As reported by The Punch, Wike spoke in Abuja on Sunday, July 6, at St. James Anglican Church in Asokoro, during the thanksgiving service held for the “successful completion of inaugurated projects” in the FCT.

Legit.ng recalls that on Wednesday, July 2, members of the coalition formally unveiled the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their platform for the 2027 general election.

David Mark, former senate president, was named interim national chairman, while Rauf Aregbesola, ex-Osun governor, emerged as interim national secretary.

Prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including former national chairman of the party, John Oyegun; ex-attorney general and minister of justice, Abubakar Malami; and former minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; attended the event where the coalition was officially formed. They vowed to defeat the APC in the 2027 general election.

Wike shares ICC refurbishment success

Meanwhile, at the Thanksgiving service, Wike said the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja, which cost N39 billion to refurbish and was renamed Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, has generated N700 million in three weeks.

He said before the advent of the President Bola Tinubu administration, the centre was poorly-managed, with low revenue accruing to the federal government annually.

His words:

“Do you know the shocking thing? The man who was running it, from Adamawa, was paying the government N50 million a year.
“But in three weeks, we have made over N700 million."

Wike tackles Amaechi

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Wike urged President Tinubu to release the forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) between 2015 and 2022 to the public.
