Journalist Who Spoke With Fish Magnet Before His Death Discloses What He Told Him to Stop Doing

A journalist, identified as Theophilus Chimnonso Idor, has mourned the death of Fish Magnet, real name Ifesinachi Onyekere, whose body was recently found by the roadside days after he was kidnapped from his Anambra residence.
In a Facebook post, Theophilus disclosed that he spoke with Fish Magnet not too long ago and had advised him to stop showing his car number plate in his videos.

Theophilus said the businessman appreciated his advice and promised to stop displaying this so openly.
He added that he bought fish from the deceased and directed him to keep some of them, as he would need them for his mother.
The journalist also wondered what Fish Magnet's crime was, and noted that he wanted to call him some days ago.
Theophilus also openly wondered if it had become a crime to earn a living legitimately in Nigeria. He wrote:
"My dear friend Ifesi Fish Magnet, what happened to you? We spoke not long ago and I advised you to stop showing your car plate number in your videos. You thanked me and promised not to do that again.
"I bought fishes from you and asked you to send some and keep some until I buy more to add to it for my mum... The one you sent is still there, the one I asked you to keep is still there.
"What actually is your crime, my dear friend? I was thinking of calling you few days ago. Has it become a crime to hustle legitimately in this country? Ife! Ha! Ariri."

When asked if Fish Magnet's demise affected his daily life or routine in anyway, young Anambra businessman Felix Eden told Legit.ng:
"I was sad to hear of his demise, and I’ll forever remember him as a brother and a colleague in the food business. As a young hustler, his death also brought some caution to me, reminding me that life is not just about being successful.
"Your relationship with your maker matters because He can call you at any time. His death made me grow closer to God, asking Him for the grace to be ready when He calls me too."

Destiny Etiko reacts to Fish Magnet's death
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko had joined those mourning Fish Magnet's death.
The film star, who stated that the businessman's death was painful to her, described him as a hardworking and promising person.
Etiko stated that the incident had left her anxious and called on the government to intervene in what had become a nightmare.
