According to an earlier post he made on X, @creative_ui, he went to Cameroon to work for a woman who was into cryptocurrency and fashion.

He narrated:

His story goes:

"Earlier this year, February specifically. I was referred to a client by a friend. She's a Cameroonian and she wanted hiring someone as her PA, content creator and social media manager for her fashion company.

"My friend told her that he had someone who was into stuffs like that. She was well to do according to my friend and from what she posted online. She's into crypto and fashion.
"My friend advised I just grab the opportunity. Work and save enough money to come expand my creative brand.

Things became tough for man in Cameroon

However, upon getting there, things didn't work as planned, as he discovered that he was lured into debt.

He was told that he is going to be working and earning money to offset the amount used to bring him to Cameroon.

Not knowing what to do since he was already in Cameroon before this was made known to him, he agreed to work and pay back the money.

He said:

Secondly, when I got here, I was told that I'm automatically owing the company some huge amount of money for the expenses spent in bringing me over. Nothing like that was mentioned prior to me making the move.

"So that automatically meant my salary would be slashed to be paying for this monthly till I pay it off, meaning I won't be getting a full salary at the end of every month."

But things got to a head when the woman stopped paying him and the other staff and only gave them money for food.

It even came to a point where he decided to return and he did not have the transport fare to do so.

That was when he cried out to Nigerians to help him return home. He has said in the post:

"I initially thought I could bear it for at least a year or max December then I return after saving enough to at least start over. But it just gets worse everyday and I'm genuinely tired. I'm asking the public for ≈105,000 CFA (about ₦300,000) to bring myself back to Nigeria."
