A lady who applied for a visa to travel abroad has shared her experience after he application was denied.

The lady shared her experience in a video after she discovered why her visa application was denied.

According to the lady identified as Ajibola, she applied for a Schengen visa to enable her to travel abroad for a holiday.

Ajibola said she submitted the document a day before she went for her Schengen visa interview.

She did not get the visa and explained in a video that the reason for the denial was insufficient proof of funds.

She said:

"I recently applied for a Schengen visa and I got denied. So here is why I got denied so you guys don't make the same mistake. Someone said its rare to get denied.

"I don't think it's rare. I just think people are not speaking up because after I posted that video, so many people message me saying they got denied as well. I know people are getting denied for so many reasons and some people are even saying they don't want Nigerians to come to their country but honestly I don't think it's that deep.

"Because the reason why I got denied is 100% reasonable. The reason why I got denied is insufficient proof of funds. When I sat down and looked at my application, it actually made sense.

"While applying for a Schengen visa, you need to plan properly and use the right documents, which I didn't because my application was so last-minute. I litrarily filed my application today and I went for the appointment the next morning."

Woman shares why she could not travel

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that a woman who was given a visa to travel to the Schengen zone ended up not making the journey as planned.

According to the woman, she was at the airport and was already going to board the airplane when she was turned back.

The woman said there appeared to be an error with the visa given to her and she was told to stay back until it was sorted out.
