A TikTok user has shared the amount of money she is paying as rent in Cameroon, where she lives.

The lady was asked by her followers how expensive it is to secure an apartment in the country, and she opened up.

According to the lady, who is a Nigerian, she currently resides in Doula, one of the major cities in Cameroon.

In her post, @mmasvlog stated that she pays 80,000 CFA as rent per month. She first said 80CFA but clarified in the comments that she meant 80,000 CFA (over N218,000).

She said the amount she paid excludes the water and light bill.

Checks online show that a 2-bedroom apartment in Douala, where the lady lives, rents for between 60,000 CFA and 130,000 CFA, according to Koutchoumi, a real-estate website.

Lady laments as landlord increases rent

In a related story reported by Legit.ng, a Nigerian lady shared a video lamenting that her landlord had increased her shop rent astronomically.

In the video, the businesswoman said she came to her shop on a particular day only to receive the landlord's letter.

In the letter which she posted online, the landlord stated that he was increasing the shop rent from N250k to N350k.
