Ibom Air: Professional Flight Attendant Shares What it Takes to Handle Violent Passenger

A lady who works as an air hostess said she respects her colleagues who are able to handle unruly passengers.
The lady was reacting to the video in which an Ibom Air hostess was allegedly assaulted and a passenger was forcefully dragged.

The altercation in the video led to the passenger's clothes being torn and her privacy being exposed.
Many social media users have blamed Ibom Air for the way the staff handled the matter.
However, Ibom Air insisted the passenger was the one who attacked their staff simply because she was told to switch off her phone.
The airline said:
"Upon arrival in Lagos, Ms. Emmanson waited for all other passengers to disembark and then proceeded to confront the Purser who had earlier instructed her.
"She walked up to the unsuspecting Purser, stepped on her, forcibly tore off her wig, removed her glasses and threw it to the floor, and used her footwear to assault her.
"She slapped her several times and when the other cabin crew member tried to intervene, she slapped her too. She then attempted to forcibly remove a fire extinguisher to use as a weapon, an act that could have damaged and grounded the aircraft."
Flight attendant reacts to Ibom Air saga
However, a professional flight attendant said it takes a lot of patience and composure to handle such incidents.
In the video she posted, the flight attendant, identified as @tammytobii said she respects her colleagues who found themselves in such situations.
She wrote:
"Do you still want to be a flight attendant? It takes more than training to handle moments like this. It takes patience, composure, and the kind of strength only cabin crew understand staying professional, calm, and in control, even when someone is completely out of line. To every crew member who’s been there… respect."
She observed that it must have taken a lot of strength for the hostess to maintain calmness.
She said:
"It takes strength to stay this calm, do still think you have the strength be a flight attendant?"

New video of Comfort Emmanson surfaces online
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that a new video showed that Comfort Emmanson wanted to come out of the aircraft.
When she wanted to exit, an Ibom Air staff member was blocking the exit.
She told the air hostess to leave the exit, but the Ibom Air staff refused.
