The West African Senior School Certificate Examination results for a Nigerian school have raised eyebrows after some students failed English language despite excelling in other subjects.
A man shared photos of the students' results online, and referred to the situation as a disturbing trend.

Man posts WAEC results of 5 intelligent students
According to the man identified on X as @latimax4all, the students' performance in other subjects was great, but their English language grades were a different story altogether.
The students in question had bagged top grades in their various subjects, but their English language results were marred by poor grades, with all scoring either F9 or E8.
While sharing the situation online, the man called for an urgent investigation into the matter so it can be resolved.
In his words:
"The just-released WAEC results for our school show a shocking trend: Most students got 7As, 6As, 5As in other subjects. But almost all got F9 or E8 in English, including the most intelligent students. This is highly suspicious and unfair. We call on @waecnigeria. @EduMinNigeria, and all relevant bodies to urgently review and resolve this issue."

Student who checked WAEC 2024 result cries out
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a Nigerian female student expressed pain after checking her WASSCE result to see an unexpected message.
In a trending video, she displayed the message that she saw and wondered if it was serious or just a joke.
