Bowen University Ex-Student Recounts How He Was Suspended in 100 Level for Not Standing during Hymns

An ex-student of Bowen University has narrated how he was suspended in his 100 level for not standing during the hymns, despite being weak and sick.

The former student, with the X handle @Adegox, shared his terrible experiences at the school in response to a netizen's challenge that people should share a piece of Bowen lore about themselves.

Man's unpleasant experiences at Bowen University

In a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), the ex-student said the then vice chancellor said he should have visited the clinic.

He added that he was made to kneel outside and was still sent home. As if those were not enough ordeals for him, @Adegox said he missed his continuous assessment and had carryovers.

He eventually left for Canada the following year. His tweet read:

"Got suspended in 100L for not standing during hymns. I was visibly sick & weak. VC said I should’ve gone to the clinic(no buses that Sun morning).
"Made to kneel outside, still got sent home. Fell worse, missed CA, had carryovers.
"Left for Canada the next year.
"Fu.ck that school."

In the comment section, he further said:

"My parents couldn’t believe it. They thought I had done something bad and wouldn’t say. Craziest part? The VC knew my uncle cos he lectured at ATBU before becoming Bowen VC. Uncle's pleas were ignored. That day, I was like “Nah. F this.”
