A Nigerian lady was taken aback by the package that her boyfriend sent her on Girlfriend's Day.

She posted a video showing the contents of the package and expressed her bitterness about it.

The video was shared on TikTok by @perfumepluginenugu, who also disclosed her chat with her boyfriend.

In the chat, her boyfriend had sent a message saying he was sending a package to her store.

"Baby my love how are you? I sent a rider to your store. Let me know when you get the package. Biko manage o," he said.

The package, however, contained akpu and soup, which left the lady very unimpressed and offended.

She questioned the thought behind the gift, pointing out that it didn't seem like a suitable present for Girlfriend's Day.

In her words:

"Babe what's the meaning of this? Did I tell you I was hungry? Is this supposed to be my girlfriend's day gift ? Like I don't get it. Do I look hungry to you? When was the last time you sent me money or gifted me? And all you could think of on girlfriend's day is akpu and soup."

Her boyfriend responded by saying that he had sent what he thought she needed.

He went ahead to criticise her for sounding rude and ungrateful without appreciating the 'little' he could give.

"This is what I felt you needed. You know you're sounding rude and ungrateful now right? At least appreciate the little I gave you," he said.
