A Nigerian lady, George Esther Chinonye, has mourned the death of a young dried fish seller, Ifesinachi Onyekesi, also known as Fish Magnet.
Punch reported that some assailants abducted Fish Magnet after invading his residence in Ezinifite community, Okpuno, Awka South LGA of Anambra State in a late-night attack and whisked him away in his car on Saturday, July 26.

Days later, the body of the young man, son of an All Progressives Grand Alliance chieftain in the state, was found dead by the roadside after a ransom had been paid.

Customer who patronised Fish Magnet mourns him
On her Facebook page, Chinonye, who mourned the death of the fish seller, mentioned why she decided to patronise him.
She shared what she noticed about the price of his fish, sparking reactions.
The Facebook post read:
“I came online and saw the video of this guy, his product was called 'Fish Magnet.' Having to know him on TikTok, I had saved his contact information as I intended to purchase dried fish from him for my parent's burial ceremony.
"Fortunately, his location in Akwa was relatively close to my hometown, making the transaction convenient to me. When it was time, I bought enough quantity of fish from him at a reasonable price.
“Coming online I was shocked to learn of his untimely demise. It was said that his home in Awka was invaded by unknown individuals who abducted and shot him, but his body has since been recovered. It's disheartening to witness such a promising life being cut short. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”
Chinonye added in the comments:
"This is too... painful. I can't even forget his face and the way he talked to me so calmly. Oh God! These is heartbreaking."

A lady on Facebook, Ajaero Loveth Ogadi, who saw the post, expressed her thoughts on the untimely death of the young businessman.
She said:
"Oh God, I saw his picture but I don't know him. Kai, what is happening bikoun oh. People taking lives they can't give? Ahhhh. God have mercy. Chai, just like that ooh. Everybody gets enemy like this ooh. Oh Chineke Nna."
