Businessman Shares What Fish Magnet Owed Him Before His Death, Posts Their Last Video Together

A Nigerian businessman, Udegbunam Charles Ifeanyi, has mourned the death of a young fish seller, Ifesinachi Onyekere, also known as Fish Magnet.

Punch reported that some assailants abducted Fish Magnet after invading his residence in Ezinifite community, Okpuno, Awka South LGA of Anambra State in a late-night attack and whisked him away in his car on Saturday, July 26.

Days later, the body of the young man, son of an All Progressives Grand Alliance chieftain in the state, was found by the roadside after a ransom had been paid.

Man shares last video with Fish Magnet

On his Facebook page, Ifeanyi, who was also into fish farming, said he met Fish Magnet in 2015 and described him as a jolly good fellow.

Ifeanyi said Fish Magnet’s death hit him hard because he knew the plans they both had together.

He also revealed that Fish Magnet owed him a visit before he was tragically killed.

The Facebook post read:

“I still can't believe you are gone brother.. Fish Magnet remembered we scheduled a meeting for today,A meeting I was looking forward to because I know the knowledge I will gain.
“Our path crossed in 2015 as Provisions Sellers at Eke Awka market before we later entered into Fish Farming and till your death we were sharing ideals ,funds and way forward to better Our lives and dat of our family..
“My mum has cried ,prayed and caused your kil.lers and I believe they will not have rest in dis life and their next life. Our only crime was struggling and hustling to build something for ourselves in order to survive this harsh economy and bad government.

“We dey hustle like uneducated youth even when we have our Bsc and other degrees yet they will not allow us to suffer in peace. The news of your death is still hitting me hard ,you aren't the first friend I have lost but yours is the most painful because I know the dreams we shared and working towards. You are a jolly good fellow who doesn't shout or fight but is a business minded person.”

Sharing what the deceased owed him, the man said:

“You owe me a visit to come see my new baby boy and my big fish is ready for harvest too. I will miss you, brother. I will miss our business meetings. will miss the way you dey push me to do better and expand. I will miss how I dey tell you to go marry and you will be looking for my wife type to marry saying you want someone to build with.”
