Speaking exclusively with Legit.ng, the founder of Pure Legal Solicitors, Barrister Ebimnamaonye Chidera Divine, condemned Fish Magnet's death, classifying it as both unnatural and unlawful. In his words:
"Well, Fish Magnet's death is condemnable. It is classified as both unnatural and unlawful. Citizens have the right to life as provided in Section 33 of the 1999 Constitution, and taking an individual's life without a lawful excuse is not only unnatural but also a capital offence punishable under both the Criminal Code and Penal Code in Nigeria.
"On the other hand, the government has a duty to provide adequate security for its citizens, as outlined in Chapter 2 of the 1999 Constitution. Citizens are, by right, entitled to security for the protection of their lives.
