Lady Abroad Displays Total Amount She Has Sent to People in Nigeria since 2022, Amazes People
- A lady overseas was blown away after seeing the total amount she has sent to people in Nigeria since 2022
- According to the lady, she decided to check her Lemfi app, an app that facilitates international money transfers, and converted the amount she saw to the current exchange rate
- She disclosed that the money is a culmination of the little amount she helped people back home with, as well as those she lent money to
A Nigerian lady in the diaspora, Chisom Chigbo, has gone public with the total amount she has sent to people in Nigeria since 2022.
Chisom checked her Lemfi app and was blown away to realise that she had sent a total of £12,264 (over N25.2 million).

Chisom said she converted the amount using the current exchange rate. According to Chisom, the money stemmed from the little amount she assisted people back home with and those she lent money to.

She funnily tagged herself the offshore branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). She believes other diasporians who check their apps would be amazed like her. She wrote:
"So I casually checked the app I use to send money back to Nigeria, and when I saw the total I’ve sent since 2022, I almost fell off my seat. 😩
"I converted it with today’s rate and it’s roughly ₦25.2 million naira. 😳
"Yes. You read that right.
"All from “urgent 10k”, “send me small something”, “just help me with this one, I’ll pay back”.
"…Plus the ones that didn’t even come with explanation😭.
"Funny enough, I saw someone post that theirs was ₦13 million and I said, “Make I just check mine for curiosity sake…”

Woman who sent N13.4 million to Nigeria
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a woman based abroad had discovered that she had sent N13. 4million to people in Nigeria.
In a post she made on X, the lady, Celta, said that so far, she has sent N13.4 million to people at home.

Celta noted that some of the people she sent the money to are even asking her for a car. She noted that the account balance she shared was for a period of two years.
