Tragedy as Lady Dies After Arriving boyfriend’s House

Esa-Oke town- Osun State - Police operatives have arrested a man identified as Yinka after his girlfriend, Bidemi Omole, died in his house in Esa-Oke town in Osun State.

It was gathered that Bidemi, after arriving at her boyfriend’s house, suddenly took ill and died shortly after on Friday evening, August 25, 2025.

The community was thrown into panic after the tragic incident occurred around 9:30 pm

Many residents reportedly thronged the house of the suspect as soon as the news of the death spread.

As reported by The Punch, a resident simply identified as Taye said the deceased died not long after she arrived at her boyfriend’s house.

“We heard the cry for help, and we all ran towards Yinka’s house. But before I got to the scene, a lot of people were already there. I saw some security personnel, but the crowd was a bit much, and it was already late.
“The deceased was believed to be heading for vigil as of the time the death occurred. She usually attends a vigil on Fridays. The police have arrested the boyfriend. He is with them already.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted to unravel the cause of the death.

Ojelabi said an autopsy will be conducted on the corpse of the deceased to find out the cause of her death.

“The boyfriend is identified as Yinka. From what the boyfriend told us, the deceased took ill after arriving at the house and started vomiting. She was rushed to a hospital, but on the way, she gave up the ghost.

“The suspect is already with the police. An autopsy will be conducted to unravel the cause of the death.”

LASU graduate found dead in her boyfriend’s house

Recall that Lagos State University (LASU) graduate, Adija, was found dead in her boyfriend's apartment in the Meiran area of Lagos, prompting concerns about domestic violence.

Adija-yet-to-be-identified boyfriend has absconded, and the police are making efforts to apprehend the suspect.

The couple's toxic relationship had raised alarms among neighbours, who frequently heard their disputes.

Kano community bans boyfriend-girlfriend nighttime meetings

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the Sharada community in Kano prohibited boyfriend-girlfriend meetings after 10p.m, part of 29 new bylaws to curb crime and immoral activities.

Community leaders and elders supported the rules for security and morality, while some youths criticized them as unfair restrictions on movement.

Kano Municipal LG Chairman Salim Hashim endorsed the laws, pledging enforcement support to improve community safety.
