FCT, Abuja - The minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has announced that the flight ban on Fuji music legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as KWAM 1, has been reduced to one month.
Legit.ng reported that a ValueJet plane nearly ran KWAM 1 over at the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport in Abuja, where he was scheduled to board a flight to Lagos on Wednesday, August 6.

According to the reports, the flight crew members accused the Fuji star of carrying alcohol in a flask and reportedly deboarded him.
However, Keyamo, in a final verdict, revealed that the decision followed “consultation with critical stakeholders in the aviation sector” over incidents involving KWAM 1 and ValueJet.
Updating Nigerians on this development via his X, Keyamo said:
“In the case of KWAM 1, the NCAA is to reduce his flight ban to a one-month period. FAAN will also work with the music star with a view to engaging him as an ambassador for proper airport security protocol going forward."
Keyamo orders for withdrawal of criminal complaints

The minister confirmed that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) will withdraw its criminal complaints against the musician, which were previously lodged with the police.
“Having publicly demonstrated penitence, the NCAA is also to withdraw its criminal complaints against KWAM 1 earlier lodged with the Police,” he stated.
ValueJet pilots reinstated after appraisal
Keyamo also addressed the case of ValueJet’s Captain Oluranti Ogoyi and First Officer Ivan Oloba, announcing that their licences will be restored after a one-month ban and mandatory professional re-appraisal.
“In the case of Captain Oluranti Ogoyi, and the co-pilot, First Officer Ivan Oloba of ValueJet, the NCAA is to restore their licences after the same period of one-month ban after undergoing some mandatory professional re-appraisal. The details will be announced by the NCAA,” Keyamo explained.

Comfort, accused of assaulting Ibom Air crew members and airport officials during her flight from Uyo to Lagos on Sunday, 10 August, has been remanded in the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos.
Narrating what she saw in the Facebook comment section of one Princess, Olubunmi said that Comfort looked like a call girl when she entered the plane. She narrated that the air hostess, who was later slapped, was very polite and helpful during the flight, and even told Comfort to turn off her phone before takeoff.
