A former Nigerian senator, Ibrahim Musa, who represented Niger North Senatorial District from 2011 to 2015, has died.
He passed away in Abuja on Thursday, August 7, after what was described as a brief illness.

Musa was elected under the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and was known as a strong loyalist of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, Leadership reported.
State government confirms his death
The Niger state government confirmed the sad news through a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Usman.
According to the statement,
“Senator Ibrahim died today (Thursday) in Abuja after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service to his people and the nation at large.”
