"When I came, police in Anambra State wanted to stop the rally. They felt I was here to talk politics. But we're here to mourn a youth, who was cut short at the prime of his life.
"It is sad that Fish Magnet was kidnapped and later killed without any trace. Insecurity is not peculiar to Anambra. It is so in many parts of Nigeria. But the case of Fish Magnet is too sad, because, the economy of Nigeria does not favour youths. Fish Magnet was able to eke a living on his own, by setting up a peculiar business outfit that made him popular.
"Sadly, this young man, who should be protected because of his enterprise, was gruesomely killed. This will discourage other youths that will ordinarily strive towards enterprise. This is sad, and should be condemned."

VDM condemns Nigerian government

In an exclusive interview with Legit.ng correspondent, VeryDarkMan berated government at all levels, saying that they do not do enough to promote security of lives and property.

"Government must be seen to be prioritising security of lives and property of the people. Killings are much in this country, and we are not happy about it."

Asked about the possibility of the notable fish business surviving after the death of Fish Magnet, VeryDarkMan pleaded with Anambra people, especially people resident in Awka and environs, to keep on patronizing Fish Barbeque, owned by the Fish Magnet, so that the business will not die with the young owner.
