Lawyer speaks on street renaming

Okanlawon Gaffar, a legal practitioner, in an exclusive interview with Legit.ng, explained that the naming and renaming of streets is solely the responsibility of the local government in Nigeria, adding that it is the residual duty of the council under the constitution.

He said:

"The point would be whose duty is to name the street and rename it? That’s the residual list, and it’s the duty of the Local Government."
