The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governor said Madugu’s success inspires the people’s sporting renaissance.

The governor made this known in a post shared via his X handle @GovernorAUF.

"Today, I was proud to receive Coach Justine Madugu, a true son of Adamawa and hero of Nigeria’s WAFCON 2025 victory.
“In recognition of his patriotism and brilliance, we have gifted him a 3-bedroom house and ₦50 million. His success inspires our sporting renaissance.”

Senior Special Assistant to Governor Fintiri on New Media, Pius Iliya, also shared news of the gift presentation on his Facebook page.

The governor’s aide wrote:

“Gov Fintiri received the Super Falcon Coach, Mr Justin Madugu, at the government House.
“Governor Ahmadu Umaru Finti, on behalf of the Government and people of Adamawa State, has gifted Justine Pwanidi Madugu (Coach of Nigeria Super Falcons) a three bedroom bungalow and a sum of fifty million naira for leading the team into winning the 2024 Women's African Cup of Nations that took place in Morocco this year.”
