The U.S. Mission in Nigeria had previously shared a report on X on Tuesday, July 29, narrating Nigerian governors' reckless spending, unnecessary projects, splurging billions of naira on government houses, houses that don't serve their intended purpose, while appealing to citizens to bear with the economic hardship.

The statement reads,“While Nigerians are urged to endure economic hardship like labour pains, some governors are splurging billions on new government houses, airports, and flyovers that may not be necessary.”

Fani-Kayode, reacting in a statement shared on X on Tuesday, July 29, stated that the U.S. government lacked the moral obligation to criticise the governance in Nigeria, urging it to fix its internal crisis before preaching good governance to others.

“Whilst the children of Gaza are being slaughtered and starved, the American government is sending more and more weapons to Israel to assist them in committing genocide."
“Worse still, the American government is using the Ukraine-Russia war to launder money and make billions of dollars for its corrupt leaders.”
“Before you give us lessons in governance, kindly drain your American swamp and clean up the mess you have put the world in,” he added.

He claimed that the U.S. is using USAID as a disguise to funnel billions of dollars into and from several countries across the world in a bid to “corrupt and destroy them.”

“And up until Trump came, the US used USAID as a conduit to fund billions of dollars into and from various nations all over the world in order to corrupt and destroy them”, he explained.

Fani-Kayode sends strong warning to Trump

Legit.ng previously reported that the former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called on President Donald Trump to desist from plunging the global nation into World War II following the escalating hostilities between Iran and Israel.

Fani-Kayode, popularly referred to as FFK, stated this amid the escalation of the tension between Israel and Iran after the former launched a coordinated military strike against the latter recently.

FFK, in a strong statement on his social media, condemned the United States president for his recent rhetoric on the crisis, saying that they are reckless and lack a diplomatic tone.
