Controversies over Tinubu's appointment
The announcement of Adeyemi came after the recent appointments by President Tinubu, where the majority of the appointees came from the northern region. The president, who was earlier criticised by Ali Ndume, is now being commended by the Borno senator for the new appointment.
Ndume, the senator representing Borno South, made a U-turn on his criticism of President Tinubu on the lopsidedness in this appointment so far. This is as Ndume praised Tinubu for his recent appointments of northerners to some key positions in the federal agencies.
Ndume, in a statement he signed personally and issued in Abuja on Saturday, May 24, commended President Tinubu for responding to his earlier concerns over his allegation of regional imbalance in his administration's appointments. He also made a case for the people of the southeast region.
