Why NECO releases BECE results
Vanguard reported that Sani said the results were released following the successful completion of the 2025 BECE Award Committee Meeting, which was held at the council's headquarters in Minna, Niger state capital.
Folake Olatunji-David, the chairperson of the Award Committee and director of basic education at the Federal Ministry of Education, while speaking at the meeting, said that the process was satisfactory, which subsequently led to the release of the result.
Present at the meeting were the NECO management board and some selected principals of secondary schools across the country.
Subsequently, the Award Committee approved the date and timetable for the resit of the 2025 BECE examination. The resit is scheduled for July 23 and 24, 2025, and will cover Mathematics and English Studies. This is an avenue for the affected students to correct their mistakes and move to the next class.
