Mohbad: Karimot Claims Wunmi Opened Account in Her Mum’s Name, Used It To Take Money From Singer

Karimot Ogunbayo, the sister-in-law of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, has reacted to what Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, said about the late singer's finances.

Naira Marley had broken his silence after social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as Verydarkman, exposed a WhatsApp group created by Iyabo Ojo.

The Marlian boss claimed that he had deposited money into both Wunmi's mother's and Mohbad's mother's bank accounts.

A few hours after his video went viral, an old interview with Mohbad also resurfaced, where the late singer spoke about his finances.

He confirmed that money had indeed been sent to his mother's account but remained silent about any funds sent to Wunmi's mother's account.

In response, Karimot, Wunmi's sister, clarified that the account was not for Wunmi's mother but for Wunmi herself.

She mentioned that when she found out about it, she asked for a statement of account, but no one responded. Karimot further claimed that the members of the WhatsApp group seeking justice for Mohbad were aware of the account and its true owner.

Karimot's old video about Wunmi's house emerges

Additionally, an old video of Karimot surfaced, where she spoke about the house Wunmi was building for her mother.

In the clip, Karimot revealed that while Wunmi had claimed she was the one building the house, it was not entirely true. Although Wunmi did contribute a significant portion of the money, Karimot clarified that she had also bought a few blocks for their mother, but Wunmi was the primary financier of the project.

It is worth noting that Karimot has consistently reacted to news about Mohbad and her sister. She previously commented on the viral video where Sam Larry was seen beating Mohbad.
