A few hours after Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, shared a voice note revealing what happened between him and the late singer Ilerioluwa Imole Aloba, aka Mohbad, an old voice note of the late singer has surfaced online.
Many fans reacted after listening to Naira Marley’s comments about Mohbad’s finances and his exit from his former record label.

In the voice note making the rounds online, Gabby, Naira Marley’s manager, was having an interview with Mohbad.

According to the late singer, he was saving up to buy a car and a house with Naira Marley.
When Gabby stated that it was Naira Marley who bought a car for him, Mohbad disagreed and explained that he gave Naira Marley N10 million, and his former record label boss added another N10 million.
However, he intentionally didn't collect some show money from Naira Marley so that the funds could be used to repay the N10 million that was added for him.

Mohbad also mentioned that he was saving up to buy a house with Naira Marley. When Gabby asked about the money paid into Wunmi's mother’s account and Mohbad’s mother’s account, Mohbad clarified that only N100k was paid into his mother’s account, but he remained silent about Wunmi's mother’s account.
In the recording, he said he could send back the money and demanded his owed funds.

Additionally, in the recording, Mohbad stated that he is being owed N130 million by his former record label. He mentioned several shows he performed at where he was never paid, except for the ones that contributed to his car payment.
The late singer emphasized that show money is different from streaming money, and whenever he asked Naira Marley about it, Naira would bring out his notepad and show him records, but Mohbad claimed he never saw the actual money, only the paperwork.
Gabby promised to look into the matter and ensure everything was resolved. Recall that several issues emerged following Mohbad’s death, and VDM promised to conduct his own investigation into the matter.
