Davido Unfollows Iyabo Ojo Over Allegation Made by VDM, Fans Divided: “No Time To Pretend”

Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has reportedly reacted to the allegation made by social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as Verydarkman.
Verydarkman had shared a screenshot of a message Iyabo Ojo sent in the controversial WhatsApp group, where she and others are fighting for Mohbad.

Many were unhappy about the leaked chat and criticised the mother of two for her remarks.
In response, Davido immediately unfollowed Queen Mother, as she is fondly called. Checks across the social media pages of both celebrities show that Davido is no longer following Iyabo Ojo.
However, Ojo is still following the Awuke crooner.

Fans take sides between Iyabo and Davido
Fans of both celebrities are divided over Davido's move. Many supported Davido, noting that they, too, dislike fake friends who badmouth them behind their backs.
Others, however, considered Davido's move childish and chastised him for such an act, arguing that he, too, might have spoken ill of others in the past.
Recall that VDM had in the past slammed Davido and some other singers about their music in the past. Though he didn't say it at his back, he boldly stated that he has confronted him face to face about such lifestyle.

Davido unfollows Israel DMW, Portable
Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, will not be the first celebrity Davido will unfollow, as the Afrobeats singer has a way of cutting himself out of trouble or troublesome people and celebrities trying to drag his name in the mud.
In 2024, Davido reacted after being viciously called out by Portable for allegedly offering him poor advice when they met in the US. Portable had blasted OBO during an Instagram Live a few days after the Unavailable singer took the Zazuu singer out to dinner and gave him a high-fashion shoe.
Davido allegedly unfollowed Israel DMW, one of his close associates and logistics manager, amid his 5IVE American tour in July.
While other DMW members were in the US for the singer's planned tour, Israel's posts on social media reflected that he was not in America with the singer, which was unusual. Rather, his posts captured him as one of the attendees at Seyi Vodi's 50th birthday celebration in Abuja.
Lady tries to touch Davido
Legit.ng had reported that fans were not pleased with what a lady did to Davido while he was walking.
The singer, who was dressed in a singlet and accompanied by his security team, was approached by a lady who reached out to him as he walked by.
The singer gave the lady a worrisome look and ensured that she did touch him.
