In an interview with BBC Radio 1xtra in London, Ayra Starr revealed that her creative process has shifted.

According to her, she no longer worries about proving her worth to fans or critics, but rather focuses on creating music that resonates with her own journey.

She stated:

“I’m in a very comfortable place where I don’t see the need to prove myself to anybody other than myself."

This mindset, she explained, is what inspired her latest single Hot Body.

The 22-year-old singer shared that her decision to release Hot Body wasn’t just about dropping another banger but about reflecting how she feels inside.

She disclosed

“I released my song Hot Body because I feel like this is the right time. I’m in the right headspace. I feel good. Right now, my body is better than I have ever felt."

She stated, “Nobody else could have been right on that song aside from Wizkid. Even just his sonics and the sound, the chorus pattern feels very Wizkid; it feels very like s*xy Afrobeats. And everybody knows Wizkid is the king of s*xy Afrobeats.”

Legit.ng recalled that Ayra Starr found herself in the middle of online controversy after an American woman accused her of being tied to satanic dealings because of her recent Roc Nation deal.

The Rush crooner had posted playful photos on her X handle, joking about not knowing how to act now that her br8asts were getting bigger. While fans laughed along and dropped compliments, one American lady claimed that Ayra’s confidence was linked to “dancing with the devil.”

Ayra Starr, however, was not having any of the American woman’s claims. The 22-year-old superstar, popularly known as “Sabi Girl,” wasted no time in replying: “Back to sender babyyyy.”
