Nigerian skit maker and actor, Ijoba Lande, has gone public with a disturbing revelation that has left his fans deeply worried.
In an Instagram video, the comedian claimed he is being blackmailed with an AI-generated video falsely portraying him in a compromising position with a senator’s wife.
According to him, the blackmailers are demanding ₦5 million to keep the doctored clip from spreading further.

The actor, who was involved in a major scandal with his estranged wife, did not hold back as he narrated how the scandal had already begun affecting his career.
Lande said:
“Someone sent me a video and threatened me. In the video, I was naked and in bed with a married woman. I’m not the one in that video, but the person is demanding ₦5 million."
He explained that the clip has already found its way to some of his benefactors and sponsors, with a few refusing to believe his denial.
The skit maker added that the woman in the video is allegedly the wife of a senator, which has made the issue even more sensitive.
Lande stressed that if artificial intelligence is left unchecked, it could become one of the most dangerous tools for blackmail in the country.
He lamented:
“If not regulated, AI will cause a lot of damage. What do you gain from ruining people’s lives? This is already costing me my reputation."
