“I was in Amsterdam when Mohbad died"
According to Marley, he was far from Lagos when Mohbad gave up the ghost on September 12, 2023.
The rapper recalled:
“We were in Amsterdam, in a restaurant, waiting for our food when someone just said Mohbad had died"
At first, he didn’t believe it. “I dismissed it, saying he was chasing clout to blow,” he added.
But fellow artiste Zinoleesky quickly corrected him, urging him to take the news seriously.
Moments later, Marley said he logged on to Instagram and saw that Mohbad’s death was being linked to an ear infection.
However, Marley claimed that shortly after, social media shifted the blame toward him.
He stated:
“Boom, on Twitter everybody just switched and started saying that Naira Marley, finally, you have killed him. They started posting videos of the NDLEA issue, his fight with the ex-manager."
The rapper alleged that people were deliberately funding blogs to “change the narrative” against him while he wasn’t even in the country.
Since Mohbad’s sudden death, fingers have continuously pointed in Naira Marley’s direction, with fans accusing him and his associate, Sam Larry, of bullying the late artiste during his lifetime.
