Not many people would abandon a secure corporate career for the uncertainty of acting, but Ghanaian actor and TV personality Mawuli Gavor says his choice was clear the moment life presented him with an unforgettable reality check.
In a recent interview, Gavor, who was the crush of BBNaija's Diane, opened up about the bold step that took him from crunching numbers at international accounting giant KPMG to standing in front of the camera.

“I was making 770 cedis a month at KPMG,” he recalled, painting a picture of the hustle of his early years.
At the same time, he was juggling shoots with beverage brand Martini, often working from 6 AM and still expected at his corporate desk by 8.
The clashes were inevitable, and Gavor eventually decided to quit acting projects to focus on his office job. But fate had other plans.
Just as he was ready to pull out of the entertainment gig, the Martini production team asked him a simple but life-changing question:
“How much is your annual salary at KPMG?”
When he told them, they made him an unbelievable offer: to pay him his entire yearly salary in just one day for a single project.
He stated:
“They looked at me and said, ‘If this is the case, we’ll give that to you today"
That was the final push he needed. He marched back to his KPMG office and dropped his resignation letter with HR.

Gavor explained that his decision was not just about money, but about freedom and value for time.
He noted that in the creative economy, he can now earn the same income in a 30-minute shoot that would have cost him an entire 9-to-5 workday at KPMG.
