TG Omori Reflects on Health Expenses, Hints at Project for Kidney Problem Patients: "So Thoughtful"

  • TG Omori has opened up about the massive cost of his healthcare, revealing that his six-month medical expenses could buy two GLEs and a C300
  • Expressing sympathy, he highlighted the high cost of dialysis in Nigeria and the sad reality for low-income earners
  • To help the situation, Omori announced a forthcoming glasses line, pledging part of the proceeds to support kidney disease patients who can't afford treatment

Creative video director, ThankGod Omori Jesam, better known as TG Omori, has reflected on the staggering costs of managing his health over six months.

In a series of posts on X, Omori, who battled kidney issues a few months ago, noted that the bills alone could cover not just one but multiple luxury vehicles: two Mercedes‑GLEs and a small C‑Class 300.

Delving deeper, he broke down the crippling cost per dialysis session, which he claimed is over ₦100,000. When someone requires three sessions a week, that mounts to well over ₦300,000 weekly, versus the typical minimum wage of only ₦70,000 in Nigeria.

Omori noted that this left him in tears while still at the hospital, as the realisation dawned that the common man had no chance in such a circumstance.

In his words:

"Dialysis is about 100k plus per session, sometimes you need 3 sessions in a week, minimum wage is 70k. Knowing this fact brought me tears in the hospital 'cause no hope for the common man."

Against this backdrop, Omori shared that he is channelling his creativity toward something meaningful.

He revealed that he is working on his first major glasses design, and when it launches, a portion of the proceeds will go to support those living with kidney disease who can’t afford dialysis.

My dream project is to have a free dialysis clinic for my people… I trust God will do it, have lost few friends over kidney disease and even paid upfront for my late friends dialysis but they reduce his sessions without informing me, killed him as they foolishly said they were saving me money💔. Painful 😓 RIP Dan.

@Semilaurel noted:

I'm still gonna do this someday. This is so thoughtful. God bless you.
